Are you living in the Colorado Springs area, and have been looking for an exciting pop culture adventure? Well look no further, GalaxyFest is rapidly approaching on February 24-26, 2016, located at The Antlers Hotel on 4 South Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Since the theme for this year’s convention is Female Superheroes, you can bet they will have an impressive array of guests attending. To whet your appetite, GalaxyFest has chosen to only reveal two female heroes attending: Ellen Hollman (Spartacus War of the Damned) and Tracee Lee Cocco (Star Trek: The Next Generation). More names will be added to the list as the convention draws closer. Famous cosplayers attending include AlyCat Cosplay, Captain K, December Cosplay, Filthy Warumono, Fredrick Mehner III, Kristin Killtastic, Loki Cosplay, Kristi Kai Cosplay, Larissa Page Cosplay, Power Rangers Anthony/Dad, and Yokaze Cosplay. Garret Wang (Star Trek: Voyager) will serve as the Master of Ceremonies, and you can expect performances by rapper Mega Ran.

Not only will GalaxyFest feature the annual cosplay contest, but they will host separate contests for both children and pets! The older ones can enjoy the activities created especially for them at the 21 and over AfterDark Events. GalaxyFest will also include charity events, a dealers table and gaming room, VIP meet and greets, hands-on kids programming, an Emperial Ball, as well as opening and closing ceremonies. Sunday is the perfect day to bring the young ones since it's Kidz Day! A full schedule of activities and panels will be uploaded to the website as the con draws closer.

The con is running almost continuously between Friday and Sunday. One-day passes are $30 for Friday, $35 for Saturday, and $25 for Sunday. A full weekend pass is $55 and children 12 and under are admitted for free. VIP passes are still currently available as well.
