They say everything’s bigger in Texas, well get ready for a larger-than-life pop culture convention! Comicpalooza is rapidly approaching on May 12-14, located at the George R. Brown Convention Center on 1001 Avenida De Las Americas in Houston, Texas.

Media guests attending the convention include Felicia Day (The Guild), Finn Jones (Iron Fist), Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Robert Englund, Amanda Wyss, and Ronee Blakely (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Chad Coleman (The Walking Dead), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Wire), Steven Ogg (Grand Theft Auto V), Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Danielle Panabaker and Candice Patton (The Flash), and Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, and Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants).

Comic guests attending include Chad Hardin (Harley Quinn), Peter Gross (Lucifer), Tyler Jenkins (Grass Kings), Ben Templesmith (Doctor Who), Brent Peeples (Batman), Steve Leialoha (Doctor Strange), Kevin Maguire (Justice League), Phillip Sevy (Tomb Raider), Kaare Andrews (Cabin Fever: Patient Zero), Gene Ha (Fables), Kurtis Wiebe (Rat Queens), J.M. Dematteis (Spider-Man), Andy Schmidt (Captain America), Zack Kaplan (Eclipse) and Donny Cates (God Country). Top Cow Productions, Zenescope, Skybound, and Valiant Entertainment will also be in attendance.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy a literary conference with over 100 authors, a film festival with more than 2,000 submissions and a live art charity. Not to mention professional wrestling, a Monster BMX stunt show, Dalek races, roller derby bouts, a code fest (HTML), Maker space and hand on robotics. But wait there’s more! Comicpalooza will also feature an Indie Gamer Alley, video game tournaments, cosplay contest and various panels and programming.

The con is running Friday 10 AM to 12 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 12 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM. One-day passes are $35 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, and $30 for Sunday. A full weekend pass for adults is available for $65 and $15 for children. Children 6-12 are admitted for $10 everyday, while children 5 and under are admitted for free. Several VIP packages are still available.
