Calling all comic fans in the Virginia area, are you ready for a weekend dedicated to all things pop culture? Well get ready, Tidewater Comicon is headed your way on May 13-14, located at The Virginia Beach Convention Center on 1000 19th Street in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Exciting celebrity guests attending the convention include John Wesley Shipp and Violett Beane (The Flash), Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob), Chris Claremont (Uncanny X-Men), Neal Adams (Batman), Bob McLeod (New Mutants), Jae Lee (Inhumans), Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force), Robert Venditti (The Surrogates), Larry Stroman (Alien Legion), Hacksaw Jim Duggan and The Boogeyman (WWE), Robert Pope (Cartoon Network Block Party), Jeremy Whitley (Princeless), Eryk Donovan (Constantine), Magdalene Visaggio (Kim & Kim), Mark Mariano (Adventure Time), Matthew Roberts (Manifest Destiny), Jamar Nicholas (Detective Boogaloo: Hip-Hop Cop), John Gallagher (10 Cloverfield Lane), Todd Dezago (The Sensational Spider-Man), Craig Rousseau (Harley Quinn), Tini Howard (Magdalena), Katy Farina (Steven Universe), Rian Sygh (Backstaggers), Bryan Turner (Fanboys vs. Zombies), Penny Gaylord (Zombie Tramp), Jerry Gaylord (Smosh), Chad Bowers (Youngblood), Chris Sims (Batman: Year One), Sam Ellis (Archer), Tim Shinn (Green Arrow), Bill McKay (Phases of the Moon), Bob Frantz (41), Brockton McKinney (Gingerdead Man), and Bryan Tillman (Creative Character Design). In addition the the extensive guest list, Tidewater Comicon is hosting a variety of exciting events! Including a comic book trivia contest, cosplay contest, superhero movie trailer contest, drink and draw, art auction, tug of war, cornhole challenge, and shopping spree. A few days after the convention, on May 21, Tidewater will host a 3D screening of Ant-Man at the Virginia Aquarium!

The con is running Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. One-day passes are $20 for both Saturday and Sunday. A two-day pass is available for $30, while children 12 and under are admitted for free.
