The California Comic Convention is returning for its 12th annual celebration of vintage comics and comic book art. CalComicCon is taking place on January 28, 2018 at the Yorba Linda Community Center on 4501 Casa Loma Avenue in Orange County, California.

Dozens of dealers from across the U.S. will offer a large selection of items sought by collectors and investors. Quite a few new collections are planned for first showing at this event. CGC will be available to take attendees’ submissions and to witness the original signatures of guest artists. In addition, CalComicCon will raffle dozens of valuable items throughout the day including CGC-certified comics, original comic book pages, and guest artist sketches.

Featured guests artists attending this one-day show include Keith Pollard and Mike Royer, who will be on hand to sketch and sign art during the show. Pollard is best known for his work on the Marvel Comics titles Fantastic Four, The Mighty Thor, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Although Pollard left comics in 1994, he occasionally makes appearances at comic book conventions. After working on titles such as Robot Fighter, Tarzan, Eerie, and Vampirelle, Royer became Jack Kirby’s primary inker. Royer later worked on the Tarzan Sunday newspaper comic strip and Star Wars comic strips.

The show is running Sunday 9:30 AM to 5 PM. Parking is free and general admission tickets are only $10. By purchasing a special online ticket before January 14, attendees will get two extra raffle tickets adding to their chances to win graded comics and original artwork.
