Get ready Michigan, a weekend of family-friendly fun is heading your way! The Great Lakes Comic-Con is taking place on February 23-24, 2018 at the Macomb Community College on 14500 East 12 Mile Road in Warren, Michigan.

Special guests attending the convention include Jim Steranko (The Incredible Hulk), David Kaye (Beast Wars), Ted Dibiase (WWE), William Katt (The Greatest American Hero), Brian Muir (creator/sculptor of Darth Vader), Guy Gilchrist (Jim Henson’s cartoonist), Jim Lawson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Angel Medina (Spawn), Darryl Banks (Green Lantern), Keith Pollard (Amazing Spider-Man), William Messner-Loebs (Wonder Woman), Arvell Jones (Iron Fist), Jason Moore (Deadworld), Jerry DeCaire (Wolverine), Lydia Graber-Green (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Randy Zimmerman (Flint Comix), Paul Storrie (Gotham Girls), Seth Damoose (Xenoholics), and Thom Zahler (Love and Capes). As well as cosplayers Raygrey, The Lansing Batman, 501st Great Lakes Garrison and The Great Lakes Ghostbusters Coalition. 

During Great Lakes Comic-Con, attendees can enjoy costume contests, balloon sculpting, face painting, magic tournaments, gaming tables, and panel presentations. Exciting raffle prizes will also be being offered each day. On Friday, attendees have the chance to win a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300 which features the first appearance of Venom. Meanwhile the prize for Saturday is a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #129, featuring the debut appearance of The Punisher. 

The con is running Friday 5 PM to 9 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM. One-day passes are $13 for either Friday or Saturday with children ages 10 and under admitted for free. A full weekend pass is available for $20.
