Fans of Joss Whedon’s world of vampire slayers, demons, dolls, Dr. Horrible, space cowboys, and SHIELD Agents are gearing up for WhedonCon 2018. The con celebrating all things Whedonverse will be held on May 18-20, at the Warner Center Marriott, at 21850 Oxnard Street, Woodland Hills, CA.

Sean Maher (actor, Firefly) has been chosen as the 2018 guest of honor. Other guests include Camden Toy (monster actor, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Dagney Kerr (actress, Buffy), E.J. De La Pena (filmmaker, CEO of Cowboy Errant), Gigi Edgley (actress, Farscape), James Marsters (actor, Buffy and Angel), Joe Ochman (actor, Buffy), Jonathan Latt (writer, The Geek), Matthew D. Hunt (filmmaker-producer, Nobility), Logan Lubera (artist, Buffy comics), Steven L. Sears (writer-producer, Xena: Warrior Princess), and Thomas Parham (writer-professor of cinematic arts).

Events begin with the Friday Night Bash with Lorne at Caritas as guests can enjoy karaoke, cocktails, and trivia. Saturday will include breakfast with the villains, charity auction, celebrity panels, meet and greets, tea time, cosplay contest, and Cocktail Party Poolside. Sunday events are Let’s Get Schwarma!, tea time, panels, meet and greets, and closing ceremonies.

The con runs Friday 3 PM to 9 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM, plus WhedonCon After Dark on Friday and Saturday from 7 PM to 12 AM.

A weekend pass is $70, Friday is $20, Saturday is $45, and Sunday is $35. The weekend passes for active students are $65, kids 11 to 16 years old are $40, and active military, police, firefighters, and EMTs get in for free.

A portion of the proceeds are going to the Lupus Foundation of America and the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center.
