Kansas City’s largest comic book and pop culture convention is gearing up to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Planet Comicon is being held on March 29-31, 2019 at Bartle Hall on 301 West 13th Street in Kansas City, Missouri.  

Exciting media guests attending the convention include William Shatner (Star Trek), Steve Blum (Transformers), Justin Briner, Chris Sabat, Monica Rial, and Jamie Marchi (My Hero Academia), Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Cary Elwes and Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride), Mick Foley and Rey Mysterio (pro wrestlers), Tom Kane and Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars), Amber Nash (Archer), John Wesley Shipp and Danielle Panabaker (The Flash), Mark Pellegrino (Supernatural), Lori Petty (Tank Girl), Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Tara Strong (Teen Titans Go!), Bonnie Wright and James and Oliver Phelps (Harry Potter).

The Planet Entertainment Zone will return in 2019 with high energy activities, interactive displays and demos along with a cosplay oriented maker space. Along with various panels and workshops, Planet Comicon will also feature the Young Fans Cosplay Showcase and Masquerade Parade. The annual cosplay contest will offer attendees the chance to win major prizes, bragging rights and the coveted Planet trophy. 

The con is running Friday 1 PM to 8 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. One-day adult passes are $27 for Friday, $44 for Saturday, and $33 for Sunday. A youth pass (8-12) is available for $8 on Friday and $12 on Saturday. An adult three-day pass is available for $173, while a three-day youth pass is available for $20.
