Tied into the continuity of the original movies, this new comic explores a previously unknown era in the relationship between apes and humans on The Planet of the Apes.

Due in stores on April 27, 2011, this new incursion into that fractured world is written by award-winning sci-fi novelist Daryl Gregory (Dracula: The Company of Monsters, Pandemonium) and drawn by artist Carlos Magno (Green Lantern Corps).

It takes place before the original 1968 Planet Of The Apes feature film, but remains true to the continuity of the series (no Tim Burton here, Apes fans). It begins when Ape society has reached a new golden age, but there are tensions among the apes and the humans.

Chaos, of course, ensues.

With this and the new movie, it looks like a good summer!
