Note, there are spoilers ahead for those who haven't watched Monday's episode of Supergirl.

I have some seriously mixed feelings about this week's episode of Supergirl. While I really enjoyed some parts of it, others made me want to turn off the TV and leave. Namely each and every piece of dialogue from the Bizarro character.

The budding romance between Kara and Adam has caused a drastic change in Cat's attitude toward Kara. It's almost as if she wants to be friends. Which would be nice, if it wasn't so unsettling.

Meanwhile at Lord Tech, Maxwell's latest creation seems to be up and running. Or should I say flying. Using DNA he retrieved from the Red Tornado, Maxwell was able to turn a comatose girl into his own version of Supergirl. All the while training her to hate Supergirl as much as he apparently does.

During an adorable date with Adam, Kara is forced to run off to save a dangling sky tram full of people. While there, she comes face to face (literally) with this other version of herself. Thankfully, despite their matched ability she manages to fight her off and save everyone there.

Cat fittingly decided to name this Supergirl doppelgänger, Bizarro.

After the way their first date ended, Kara agrees to meet Adam for a second attempt. They manage to share a sweet kiss before Kara is kidnapped by Bizarro and forced to fight. In the middle of a laser showdown, Alex and the DEO show up and fire kryptonite darts at Bizarro.

Instead of weakening her, the darts only seem to increase her power while degrading her face to no longer resemble Kara. They realize Maxwell has created her to have powers in direct opposition to Supergirl, so they must create a reverse kryptonite. Given that Bizarro grabbed her as Kara, they now realize Maxwell knows exactly who she is.

Sadly, Kara's long day doesn't end here. She decides it's best to end things with Adam before they even begin. James goes to comfort her but she shuts him out and pushes him away. Unfortunately, soon after this James is kidnapped by Bizarro.

After finding him, Supergirl and Bizarro prepare for one final battle. At the same time, Alex goes against Hank to arrest Maxwell and hold him at the DEO, indefinitely. As the fight rages on, Alex shows up just in time to fire the reverse kryptonite dart at Bizarro.

Despite all she's done, Kara feels pity for what has happened to Bizarro. The DEO agrees to put her back into a comatose state. Though Kara may no longer have any romantic prospects (you know except for both James and Winn) her enemy Maxwell is safely behind glass. So she at least has that for a win.

Given the track record she has, I doubt this win will last for very long. But as long as the next episode doesn't have a "Cookie Monster voiced" villain, I'll be content.
