A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed film, based on the popular video game franchise of the same name. The trailer gives a more in-depth look at the events of the modern day at Abstergo Industries, where Callum Lynch is being imprisoned, and at the Animus technology.
The film stars Michael Fassbender in a dual role as Lynch and as Aguilar de Nerha, Marion Cotillard as Sophia Rikkin, and Jeremy Irons as Alan Rikkin. The Assassin’s Creed movie is not based directly on any of the many games in the series, but instead is a standalone story set in the same universe. The movie releases on December 21, 2016.
