The latest 1990s favorite to get the reboot treatment will be Carmen Sandiego, which will be heading to Netflix as a cartoon series. The classic character, known for both multiple shows and video games, will be voiced by Gina Rodriguez, known for her role in Jane the Virgin.

The series will feature The Batman’s Duane Capizzi as a showrunner, with C.J. Kettler and Caroline Fraser as executive producers. The Carmen Sandiego reboot will launch sometime in 2019 with 20 episodes. A glimpse at what the style of the show will look like was released alongside the news.

The Carmen Sandiego video game series began in 1985 with Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? and has since included more than 20 titles, the most recent of which, Carmen Sandiego Returns, having arrived in 2015. There have also been three television series: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? and Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?, both of which were game shows for children, and Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?, a Saturday morning cartoon series.
