BOOM! Studios and Nickelodeon have officially partnered to create comic books and graphic novels based on some of the network’s biggest animated shows of the ’90s. The first comic book out of this partnership, Rugrats #1, is being released in October 2017. This all-new series, led by award-winning writer Box Brown and artist Lisa Dubois, follows the world’s most adventurous toddlers on epic new journeys.

“As longtime fans of Nickelodeon’s innovative, outstanding programming, we couldn’t be happier to kick off our partnership with the return of Rugrats. The entire team at Nickelodeon has been a fantastic partner, working with us to deliver the best all-new stories of your favorite animated shows in comic book form through our all-ages KaBOOM! imprint,” shared Filip Sablik, President, Publishing & Marketing, BOOM! Studios.

In Rugrats #1, Tommy, Chucky, Phil, and Lil have come to a shocking revelation ‒ somehow their parents can see every little thing they do. It won’t be easy, but these intrepid kiddos are going to find a way to have fun without catching the electronic eyes of the babycam.

This debut issue features covers by Jorge Corona (The Flash), Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb (Adventure Time), and Art Baltazar (Tiny Titans). It will be available for sale on October 18 at local comic book shops or through the BOOM! Studios webstore. Digital copies can be purchased from comiXology, Kindle, iTunes, Google Play, and the BOOM! Studios app.
