Titan Comics and Hard Case Crime have partnered to produce an original graphic novel, Babylon Berlin, which serves as the inspiration for Netflix’s upcoming TV series. This new crime thriller, based on the original novel by Volker Kutscher, is written and illustrated by Arne Jysch and slated for release on January 3, 2018.

Set in the 1920s, at the birth of the Weimar Republic, Babylon Berlin is a tale of corruption, trafficking, and scandal. During a radical change in Germany, an unfortunate incident of manslaughter forces Detective Inspector Gereon Rath to move to Berlin. While there he stumbles upon an ever-growing criminal investigation into a sex ring, and quickly discovers that he can trust no one, not even the police.

Titan Comics’ Hard Case Crime imprint’s previous publications include Peepland, Triggerman, Normandy Gold, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Millennium. In addition to Babylon Berlin, forthcoming titles include Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini by Cynthia von Buhler and Quarrys War by Max Allan Collins.
