Exciting news for fans of the 2008 horror film, The Strangers! Although Rogue Pictures’ previously announced plans for a sequel back in 2008, tentatively entitled The Strangers 2, production was postponed on several occasions.
The Strangers is a frightening cat and mouse film about three masked people who torment and terrify a couple at a secluded vacation home. The movie, which was inspired by real events, starred Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman.
Now, the retitled Strangers: Prey at Night, has finally been given a release date. Strangers: Prey at Night, will be released on March 9, 2018, a full ten years after the original film. Along with the long awaited release date, fans have also received their first look at the film with an all-new still.
The official synopsis for Strangers: Prey at Night reads: “A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive. Johannes Roberts directs this horror film inspired by the 2008 smash hit The Strangers.”
Strangers: Prey at Night, scripted by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai, stars Martin Henderson, Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman.
