The first full-length trailer for the upcoming adaptation of the classic novel A Wrinkle in Time has released online. The film is being produced by Disney and directed by Ava DuVernay and will be arriving in theaters on March 9, 2018.
The novel was first published in 1962 and became the first entry in what’s known as “The Time Quintet,” which saw the release of five books by Madeline L’Engle between ’62 and ’89. A previous live-action film adaptation had also been released by Disney back in 2003, but as a television special. The story follows a young girl, Meg, alongside her younger brother Charles Wallace and classmate Calvin, as they explore the mysteries of the universe and seek out Meg’s long-missing father. The all-star cast includes Storm Reid, Deric McCabe, Levi Miller, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Michael Peña, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Andre Holland.
