A new, unique behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Pacific Rim: Uprising has been posted online, courtesy of Japanese entertainment website Cinema Today. The video, which can be seen below, provides the first look at a lot of new footage from the upcoming film, which serves as a sequel to 2013’s Pacific Rim.

The video also features interview clips from much of the main cast, including John Boyega and Scott Eastwood, as well as from Rinko Kikuchi (note: as this interview was posted by a Japanese website, Kikuchi’s section of the video is not subtitled as she is speaking in Japanese).

Boyega is set to star as Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba’s character from the original film. The story will follow him and a new crew of Jaeger pilots as they once again must combat the threat of the monstrous Kaiju creatures. Boyega is joined by Eastwood, playing Nate Lambert, as well as Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Adria Arjona, Karan Brar, and many others. The cast also features the return of Charlie Day and Burn Gorman as Dr. Newt Geiszler and Dr. Hermann Gottlieb, respectively.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is being directed by Steven S. DeKnight and will release on March 23, 2018.
