Nintendo releveled a unique new addition for their Switch console, the Nintendo Labo, which the company is calling a “new line of interactive build-and-play experiences that combine DIY creations with the magic of Nintendo Switch.”

Labo will allow Switch owners to build cardboard items such as a piano or a fishing rod; these cardboard creations are being called “Toy-Cons,” a take on the Joy-Con controllers.

“With each Nintendo Labo kit, kids can transform modular sheets of cardboard – specially designed to interact with the Nintendo Switch console and Joy-Con controllers — into creations called Toy-Con,” Nintendo said. “As you build, you will have fun discovering how the technology works, and might even invent new ways to play with each Toy-Con!”

Two Labo products will arrive on April 20, 2018. These include the Variety Kit, which retails for $69.99 and comes with a house, RC cars, fishing rod, piano and motorbike, and the Robot Kit, which retails for $79.99. The kits also come with their own software. There will also be a customization set for the Labo lineup that comes with stencils, stickers and more and runs just $9.99.
