The first full trailer for Freeform’s upcoming series, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger has finally dropped. Previous teasers for the hotly anticipated new series have teased the relationship between the show’s leads Tandy Bowen/Dagger (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson/Cloak (Aubrey Joseph), however this recent trailer features a voiceover describing the two as “the divine pairing.” 

Created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan, Cloak and Dagger initially debuted in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #64 in 1982 before starring in their own titular series. This new television series, geared toward a younger audience, follows the teenagers as they learn to control their new abilities. Tyrone possess the ability to engulf others in darkness and transport them to/through the Darkforce dimension, while Tandy wields light daggers. Although they quickly discover they are better off apart, their growing romantic feelings for one another begin to complicate things further. 

In addition to Holt and Joseph, the series stars Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Tandy’s partner in crime Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo, and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors.

Cloak & Dagger debuts with a two-night premiere on Freeform on June 7, 2018.
