Myst is considered one of the most influential video games of all time, particularly with regards to the adventure game genre, and in honor of the 25th anniversary of the franchise, Cyan Worlds, Inc. has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Myst 25th Anniversary Collection. The Kickstarter’s goal is $247,500 and will run through May 24, 2018.

This will be the first time that all seven Myst games are together in a single package. All games have been upgraded to run on Windows 10, and the Kickstarter will be providing the collection in a special exclusive package.

Kickstarter-exclusive items include a Linking Book as well as Gehn’s Pen and Inkwell, but the highest-tier items is an original design sketch from Riven. These are the actual pencil sketches, many of which have not ever been seen publicly before. Each unique drawing will come with a certificate of authenticity and are only available at the $1,000 tier.

So, as 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of Myst, Cyan is taking our journey together one step further,” the Kickstarter page reads. “Behind the scenes, we’ve been working to procure the legal rights to make all of the Myst games available. As an indie developer, resources are limited for development, and acquiring these rights isn’t always an option. But we’ve finally managed to talk with all the right people in all the right places to garner funds to make it happen! With the needed agreements secured, we’re delighted to present the Myst 25th Anniversary Collection, featuring all seven titles in the Myst series!”
