Recently, Marvel announced plans for a full-length animated feature centered around Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Ghost-Spider, Quake, America Chavez, and Patriot. Ahead of Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors’ release in the fall of 2018, the next generation of Marvel heroes are teaming up for a series of animated shorts on Disney XD.

To help build anticipation for the new shorts, Marvel has dropped a teaser trailer for the six-episode Marvel Rising: Initiation. The first of the four-minute shorts sees Ghost-Spider, a/k/a Spider-Gwen desperately working to clear her name after being framed for murder. This short debuts August 13 on Disney XD.

Both Marvel Rising: Initiation and Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors will see Agents of SHIELD star Chloe Bennet reprise her role as Quake. She is joined by Agents of SHIELD guest star Dove Cameron as Ghost-Spider, in addition to Tyler Posey as Inferno, Kathreen Kavari as Ms. Marvel, Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Kamil McFadden as Patriot, Kim Raver as Captain Marvel, and Bradley Baker as Tippy Toe and Lockjaw.

No release date has been announced for Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors as of yet, but more news is expected to drop during the Marvel Rising panel at Comic-Con International.
