A new trailer for the upcoming anime film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, made its debut at New York Comic Con. The trailer looks into the origins of the three different legendary Saiyan warriors – Goku, Vegeta, and Broly – and how their fates are intertwined.
The film is set to introduce Broly into the mainline Dragon Ball canon (he has previously only appeared in non-canonical films), and is set after the Universe Survival Saga that took place at the end of the Dragon Ball Super series. The movie will depict the history of the Saiyans as well as how the villainous Freiza struck against them.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly will debut in Japan on December 14, 2018, and is currently set for an English-language release in North America in January 2019.
