The 2018 Game Awards not only handed out recognition to the best games of the year, but it also presented a platform for some big-time announcements and world premiere trailers for upcoming titles on every system.

Nintendo and Team Ninja announced Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order, which will be an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch. This game arrives a full decade after the last title in the series and will feature a multiplayer mode for up to four people. It arrives in 2019.

Ubisoft formally revealed Far Cry New Dawn, a direct sequel to Far Cry 5 that takes place some years after the nuclear bombs fell at the end of that game. This post-apocalyptic action game will focus on a pair of twins who seem to be able to take advantage of the chaos that arose following the bombs. This title will arrive on February 15, 2019.

Supergiant Games announced their new project, Hades, a roguelike dungeon-crawling action title which is playable now in early access via the Epic Games store. It bears a similar overall style to the developer’s previous titles, Basion and Transistor.

Following the success of the Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy remastering of the original three platforming titles, Crash Team Racing is going to receive a similar treatment. This full overhaul of the wacky cart-racing game is called Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and will be coming to consoles on June 21, 2019.

No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games is working on a new project that they’re referring to as “a short,” called The Last Campfire. This artistic-looking exploration adventure title seems to feature cooperative gameplay in order to navigate mazes and dungeons. It currently does not have a release date.

Obsidian announced a new project called The Outer Worlds. The game looks to be taking a lot of inspiration from past Obsidian games, such as Fallout: New Vegas, but with a distinct flair that comes with being set at the edge of the galaxy. This single-player shooter/RPG will arrive in 2019.

Though it featured no gameplay at all, one of the biggest reveals of the night was BioWare’s tease of a fourth Dragon Age title. The artwork shown depicts the Dread Wolf, Solas, who was revealed as an antagonistic force at the end of Dragon Age Inquisition; the trailer also featured Solas speaking to an unknown person.

Mortal Kombat 11 was revealed with a lengthy trailer that showed off Scorpion battling Raiden in a battle about as gruesome as fans have come to expect from this bloody fighting series. The game arrives in April, and a “community reveal event” will also take place in January.

Finally, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had its first downloadable content confirmed – Joker, the main character from Persona 5, will arrive as a playable fighter as one of the five “Character Packs” for the game. This means that there will also be a Persona 5 stage and Persona 5 music added to the game.
