The 2019 edition of Awesome Games Done Quick has kicked off, and the biannual gaming marathon is set to run until the wee hours of January 13, 2019. AGDQ is a speedrunning marathon, in which gamers from around the world come together to speedrun a huge variety of games live. Donations are collected throughout the week, with all donations going directly to charity.

AGDQ’s charity of choice is the Prevent Cancer Foundation, one of the nation’s leading voluntary health organizations and the only U.S. nonprofit focused solely on cancer prevention and early detection. Founded in 1985, it has catapulted cancer prevention to prominence and fulfills its mission through research, education, outreach and advocacy across the country. The summer edition of GDQ (Summer Games Done Quick) generally benefits Doctors Without Borders.

Games Done Quick was founded in 2010 and across the numerous marathon events has raised more than $16.9 million for charity.

The full schedule of games can be found at the Games Done Quick website; the entire marathon can be seen streaming live on Twitch.
