The highly-anticipated sophomore season of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is less than two months away. The teen drama series, based on the comic characters of the same name, returns to Freeform on April 4, 2019. Ahead of the series return, Marvel has dropped the first official photos from the upcoming season. 

The new images primarily follow Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) and Tandy (Olivia Holt) as they navigate a party scene. While the two aren’t suited up in costumes, the “divine pairing” seem to be on high alert with one image showing a glimpse of Tandy's glowing hand. As the pair draw closer in the party photos, a later image sees them relaxing in Tandy’s church hideout. 

“With enhanced powers and a choice to make about the type of heroes they want to be, they make the choice to run into the danger, head first. They tackle a heartless vigilante and uncover an evil that’s been preying on the young women of the city, as the show takes on more serious topics like gang violence and human trafficking,” Marvel revealed in a statement. 

Cloak & Dagger stars Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger, Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, Emma Lahana as Brigid O'Reilly/Mayhem, Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo, and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors.
