Both Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh will be donning the iconic “S” for an upcoming Arrowverse crossover event, according to a new report by Deadline.

Both actors have been a part of The CW’s shared television universe – Hoechlin has portrayed Superman on Supergirl, while Routh has portrayed The Atom on Legends of Tomorrow. However, Routh was previously known for portraying the Man of Steel in the 2006 feature film Superman Returns, and he will be playing both Superman and The Atom in the upcoming Arrowverse event, titled “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

The crossover will unite the entire Arrowverse, with the storyline taking place over five episodes across Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman, with three episodes airing in December and the final two debuting in January. The event shares its name with the iconic 12-issue DC Comics series from the 1980s that essentially reset the continuity of the books.
