During the Marvel Games panel at New York Comic Con, it was announced that Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel will be a central figure in the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers video game, currently in development at Square Enix.

According to the “Behind the Scenes” promotional video for the character, Kamala’s backstory from the comics was tweaked slightly to be better tied into the game’s events – she is still an Inhuman, but her powers awaken after the incident on A-Day that fractures the Avengers team and leaves Captain America allegedly dead. Kamala will be central to the story, helping to bring the team back together years after the incident. She will also be available as a playable character.

Kamala will be voiced by Sandra Saad in the game, and a more in-depth look at how she will factor into the story can be seen online in the announcement trailer. Marvel’s Avengers arrives on May 15, 2020.
