Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting’s period piece spy thriller Velvet has been great since the first issue and it hasn’t lost a beat. If anything, it’s distinctly more compelling and more beautifully illustrated than when the series began. Elizabeth Breitweiser’s colors have been a vital component in setting the mood and they’re really on full display this time.
