The Shadow has been jolted through time and reality several times. He went from being the Shadow to his alter ego Lamont Cranston, then to actor and radio voice of the Shadow Preston Springs, then he was forced to create himself as a pulp character, and now he’s seemingly back to where he started.

In the final issue of Twilight Zone The Shadow, Kent Allard finds himself in Nazi custody about to be put to death. They are planning to execute him and his friends and, of course, they have other nefarious plans. Can the Shadow break free of his prison, save his friends, and stop the Nazis in the Twilight Zone? Only time will tell.

Written by David Avallone, the last issue of Twilight Zone The Shadow was based in a much more concrete reality than the previous three. Especially after the psychological trip he took creating himself. Combining the realty bending Twilight Zone with the mysterious Shadow produced a very entertaining story.

The art by Dave Acosta and colors by Omi Remalante matched the mystery and intrigue of the comic with stern faced characters and deep shadows. It’s shrouded by the genres of both series bringing weight to the story.
