Black Widow has bested the Weeping Lion and has used his telepathic abilities to infiltrate the Dark Room. But the Headmistress killed herself, leaving Natasha to hunt for the children who have been sent out on deadly missions.

Since things are never easy for Black Widow, her first mission takes her to the White House. She and the Weeping Lion have tracked an assignment into the president’s home where Natasha must ferret out which of the little girls taking a tour of the White House is actually here to commit murder and start a war.

Written by Chris Samnee and Mark Waid, this was a pretty good issue. You can see Black Widow’s confidence is somewhat shaky considering she knows that she’s up against assassins who were trained in the same way that she was. Add in the awkward undercover assignment of pretending to be a tour guide in the White House and things get a bit comical.

If they continue with the storyline of Black Widow seeking fellow trainees of the Dark Room, it could make for a very interesting and entertaining arc.
