There are few things in the world that provide a hard punch to the gut like coming home to discover that your house has been burgled – and that’s exactly what the three ladies of Giant Days experience. Though most of what was stolen was certainly replaceable, Daisy’s family heirlooms also got taken. After the forensics crew do their job, the girls opt to take things into their own hands in order to get Daisy’s family jewelry back by entering the “seedy underworld” of their college town.

Giant Days continues to turn relatable life issues into charming and witty events for the leading ladies. Though the resolution of their home break-in was fortunately positive, the hard reality of a burglary was definitely portrayed realistically (I went through this last year and it was awful). The fact that Giant Days is able to turn awful things into a funny story makes it continue to be a worthwhile read.
