Wynonna has captured Boone Helm, the most dangerous paranormal figure she and Black Badge have encountered. Now she’s heading to his new home of Black Rock Paranormal Prison with a new prisoner – Amy Jane Doe, a feral. But, Wynonna believes Amy needs rehabilitation not incarceration. She bonds with the teenager when she feels a connection based on her own younger sister, Waverly.

After Wynonna, Val, and Doc get to Black Rock, Dolls and Smitty take them on a tour of the facility and reveal a surprise that was previously above Wynonna’s clearance. You can imagine how happy she’ll be about that!

Picking up after Wynonna Earp Legends: Doc Holliday #2, this issue puts the focus back on Wynonna, with a side of Waverly. It was written by Melanie Scrofano, the actress who portrays Wynonna Earp SyFy channel show, and Wynonna creator, Beau Smith. The pair wrote an entertaining comic, infusing the issue with the show’s attitude and style. You can practically picture Scrofano kicking some butt when she finds out what’s really going on.

The art by Chris Evenhuis is attractive, bearing resemblance to the actors on the show with plenty of style. From panels that are funny to others that are downright scary, Evenhuis set the scene and entertained.
