Safe from the threat of the Borg, Captain Kirk and the U.S.S. Endeavour are ready to head back out into space. Sulu has joined the crew as first officer since Valas is being held by the Romulans. On their first outing, the crew encounters something remarkable – a White Hole. But, as they start to explore the phenomenon, it sends out particle waves that could destroy the Endeavour. Then Kirk and Sulu quickly learn that a few crew members may have inside knowledge on the threat at hand.

This issue, written by Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrott, was certainly exciting. The beginning felt like business as usual, but as soon as the mysterious, exciting White Hole appears, things get very interesting. Not only do Kirk and his crew learn about the space phenomenon, but they also discover another type of being in their midst.
