Kitty Pryde is back on Earth after dealing with some drama regarding a certain fellow named Peter and becoming a Guardian of the Galaxy. But typical to how her life plays out, nothing stays normal for long, and she’s quickly sucked back into the world of being part of the X-Men. With new threats on the rise, Kitty takes it upon herself (well, after some serious nudging in that direction from Ororo), to lead the next generation of X-Men into the future.
X-Men Prime #1 is an excellent start to what is sure to be an interesting storyline. Marvel seems relatively committed to putting one of their flagship teams back in the spotlight – with X-Men Blue, X-Men Gold, and Weapon X all debuting next month, and solo series focusing on Cable, Jean Grey, and Ice Man all starting later on – and this looks to be a great place to start reading for anyone who hasn’t been keeping up with the X-Men otherwise.
