BOOM! Box recently introduced pop culture to an epic new team of misfits. Wilder, Karma, Macy, Ed, and Dot have grown up in the tourist trap of Cannon Cove, Oregon. It was here that the ’80s cult classic movie, The Gloomies, was filmed. According to Wilder, that was the last time anything even remotely exciting happened here. Until now that is. After discovering a centuries old pirate map, the friends embark on a harrowing adventure to find Black Mary’s treasure.

Reading the map is one thing, deciphering the scribbles all over it is another. Thankfully, a quick trip to the library and some help from Macy’s mom gives the group a new idea. Taking a page out of the Gloomies notebook, the misfits find themselves breaking into the old Captain’s House.
