The Rangers beat Drakkon and Rita Repulsa, which means things have been quiet – well at least where giant monsters are concerned. Now, in the beginning of a new story arc, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers can focus on helping people through natural disasters and other dire events.

But, when they realize that without Rita they aren’t as busy, will they enjoy the time for rest and recuperation, or restlessly seek adventure? This issue also introduces a new character, entrepreneur Grace Sterling, who could be an ally.

Issue 17, written by Kyle Higgins, is a light, but interesting opener for the new storyline. It’s nice to see the Rangers with some time to relax, though it isn’t without conflict. Watching the Rangers deal with boredom and question the line between devotion and obsession makes for an interesting story. The angle of adrenaline obsession isn’t typically explored in superhero titles, which makes this pretty entertaining.
