Peter Parker’s got a lot on his plate these days. After meeting his sort-of-maybe half-sister Teresa Parker, he ended up wrapped up in a police chase – see, Teresa is a fugitive, having been a super-spy who stole a ton of classified information from a division of S.H.I.E.L.D. called the Gray Blade, and the cops have linked her to Peter. Meanwhile, Peter actually revealed his dual identity as Spider-Man to none other than J. Jonah Jameson, and the bond those two rivals share may be Peter’s way out of the chase.

There is a lot happening in this issue, and while the drama and action both get quite frantic, it makes for a wild ride from cover to cover. This is the start of a new storyline in this series, called “Most Wanted,” so it’s not a bad place to start reading (though personally I’d recommend starting with at least #296). The Spectacular Spider-Man spends a lot of time showing Peter’s most human elements, and this issue is no exception. There’s a lot of Spider-Man content on the shelves these days, but this series especially is worth a look.
