The holiday season is officially upon us, and so too has it been thrust upon the leading ladies of Giant Days. Rather than deal with their respective families, the girls take the bus to London instead for some pre-holiday fun on a shoestring budget with one of Esther’s old internet pals, Shelley. The three realize that Shelley is in dire romantic straits and take it upon themselves to try and set her up with a good man for Christmas. But nothing ever quite goes to plan with this crew, does it?

The Holiday Special manages to fit nicely within the existing Giant Days continuity without much effort. The story is cute and though the art is different from the usual, it’s not so jarring as to not feel like the rest of the series. It’s a nice break from the ongoing drama of the regular series but doesn’t at all feel out of place.
