Things are getting wild for the Power Rangers. First, they’re in New York fighting a sheep creature that keeps spouting “truths.” After that conflict, they head to Vancouver where Grace and her team are trying to find a hidden monster by sequestering the residents and using search technology on them. Oh, and Rita calls to Finster, welcoming him back into the fold.

First off, the sheep villain who shouts “truths” is pretty clever when considering people are called “sheep” for believing and doing what they’re told without question. The rest of the story brings forth the concerns that the Rangers have had regarding Promethea, but haven’t had a major reason to investigate yet. Things are getting complicated as the Rangers may have a conflict that doesn’t involve monsters.

Kyle Higgins is doing a great job writing this series. It has the flavor of the TV show but a smidge less silliness, favoring some meaty stories and genuinely suspenseful situations. The Rangers are still the altruistic heroes that some readers grew up loving.

This issue was illustrated by Jonas Scharf, with inks by Jagdish Kumar, and colors by Joana Lafuente. The team collaborated well to provide clear pictures of the story, nice color choices to match the tone, and expressiveness even with the helmets.
