The end of issue 23 gave readers a shock when Billy discovered that Drakkon was in our world and was being held at Promethea. This issue picks up with the reunion between Finster and Rita, though there’s some obvious tension between the evil leader and her minion. Finster explains how he created new monsters and Rita orders him to release several monsters at once, despite his disagreement.

The Power Rangers are outnumbered, so Grace joins the fight in her own zord-like creation. But once the melee ends Billy tells the team about Drakkon, instantly testing the relationship between the Rangers and Grace and Promethea. Should they trust her? What should they do with Drakkon?

This issue wasn’t as exciting as the previous installment, but Kyle Higgins created plenty of tension between the various characters. The Rangers must deal with several complicated situations and decide how much faith to put in their new ally, while the evil camp is dealing with its own dissension. The series has been entertaining with exciting Ranger action and civilian life complications, and doesn’t seem to be losing steam any time soon.
