Sea of Thieves is set to debut on March 20, 2018 as a cooperative action-adventure video game for the Xbox One and for Windows PC. After four years in development, the hype around the game has been buzzing, especially after the multiple showings at E3 over the last couple of years. And with the game finally set to release, Titan has given fans an early look into the world of Sea of Thieves with a new comic of the same name.

The Sea of Thieves comic book manages to capture the cartoonish look of the game without being quite as over-the-top about it. Several characters are introduced in this inaugural issue – maybe some of whom we’ll eventually get to see in the game – as well as many locales. There’s plenty of what you’d expect out of a pirate story – cheating, gambling, drinking, and an adventure on the high seas. Hopefully the book will expand upon the lore of the video game in a way that captures audiences in much the same way.
