In addition to the enemies from their past, Fighting American and Speedboy must contend with modern day villains and come to terms with a whole new world. Fighting American Volume 1: Brave New World collects issues 0-4 of the miniseries and is a great way to catch up before the planned follow-up miniseries. Gordon Rennie perfectly captures the voice of Simon and Kirby’s character, while giving him a modern twist. Meanwhile, the bold artist styles by Duke Mighten and PC De La Fuente bring the entire story to life.
