Doreen has opted to try and deepen her friendship with none other than… Kraven the Hunter? Yep! After the two fought their way through the Savage Lands together, Doreen realized that despite Kraven’s reputation as a villain, he actually has the capacity to be a pretty cool dude. So she gets a group of pals together to do an Escape Room with Kraven, though the guy behind the scenes clearly has more dangerous plans than puzzle-solving for the crew.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl continues to be a delight from cover to cover thanks to witty writing that feels contemporary culture-wise while still remaining true to the superhero spirit. This is also the first issue featuring interior art from Derek Charm, and it honestly looks spectacular and gives this new arc a fresh feel to it. (Erica Henderson, who provided interior art for the first 31 issues, is still providing covers.) I’m really looking forward to seeing more of Charm’s take on these characters moving forward and I hope he sticks around.
