Garfield is back and fatter, I mean better, than ever. In his all-new four issue limited series Garfield has been exploring life outside the friendly confines of Jon’s house. In a rather clique move, Garfield runs away to join the circus. After meeting up with a clown working at an old-timey traveling circus, Garfield decides to throw caution to the wind and become part of the act. But when caution involves a cannon, Garfield decides its time to move on.
Now, walking the streets in search of baked goods, Garfield finds himself in a turf war with a bull dog. One that ends with both of then getting nabbed by animal control. Using every move in the book, Garfield dazzles a little girl into adopting him. Unfortunately, this newfound lap of luxury comes with a major snag – two snobby champion Schnauzers. And thats only the tip of the iceberg, Garfield has to endure tea parties, dress up, and pretend food! Between the conniving Schnauzers and imaginary scones, Garfield is desperate to escape. But can he make it out unscathed, and more importantly will he ever get fed?!
Writer Scott Nickel perfectly captures the voice of Jim Davis’ iconic creation in this new limited series. Coupled with the wonderfully cartoonish art by guest artists Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb (Adventure Time), makes this a can’t miss issue!
