After adventures with Mary Shelley, Edgar Allan Poe, and Bram Stoker, Elvira has been transported to early 1930s Hollywood. Her pleas with Doctor Faust to let her go back to her time are denied and she continues being hunted and chased by Vlad the Impaler. This time, however, instead of one historical figure she meets oodles of people and characters from the golden age of cinema.

David Avallone has written another very good installment of Elvira. This one continues her fourth wall breaks, puns, and naughty jokes, but with a slew of cameos for fans of classic films. Artist Dave Acosta and colorist Andrew Covalt add more humor and style to the book with fun likenesses and entertaining settings.
