The Controller is running Tony’s eScape, putting banned players back in the game. Except, they aren’t in the game, they think they are, but in reality, they are in the real world hurting real people. As Tony, Rhodey, and Janet try to find and stop the Controller, weapons are being sent to players, Stark Unlimited is fielding lots of panicked phone calls, and the Motherboard is holding Tony’s birth mother.

There is a whole lot happening in Tony Stark Iron Man #8. So far, the title has been mostly about the fun of Iron Man’s cool technology, but things have gotten dire with the eScape. In this arc, Dan Slott brings to life the fear of advanced technology, along with the desensitization of violent games.
