Arriving just a few days after Valentine’s Day, Love Romances is a delightful look at some dark romances, courtesy of Marvel. This anthology contains four separate stories, each with their own twisted look at love and relationships. From a clockwork heart more complex than its gears to a ghost of a romance long past, Love Romances is a solid break from Marvel’s usual hero fare.

Of course, Marvel has hardly been a stranger to romance books over the years, and there’s a nice retrospective at the end of this book that goes over the history of the genre at the company. Despite all of the drama that this book contains, it’s certainly a worthwhile read (especially during this time of year) that manages to entertain despite any potential heartbreak.
