This issue picks up with Wonder Woman and Atlantiades facing an angry mob of the latter’s followers. The two women differ in how to respond to the crowd and the larger issue of giving in to desires when it means shirking responsibilities.

Meanwhile as they argue, Maggie and Aphrodite have followed the sword’s energy to a cave that is clearly powerful – and foreboding. Heedless of Aphrodite’s warning, Maggie heads straight in and ends up facing a very large foe. With Maggie in trouble, Cadmus finds Wonder Woman to get her help and Wonder Woman realizes that the cave could hold answers to their current situation with the Olympians.

G. Willow Wilson is doing a nice job with Wonder Woman. The debate between Wonder Woman and Atlantiades could slow the story but it ends up being some thoughtful dialogue. Maggie’s arc is interesting and, depending on the payoff, will be really good. The past few issues haven’t had as much action as a Wonder Woman title could, so hopefully that aspect will pick up in the next confrontation.
