After their last encounter with the gods, Xena and Gabrielle were sent away with the banished Discord. Together they seek guidance from the locals to find their way home, but the help will only be offered if they do something for this local tribe and their god.

Xena Warrior Princess #3 felt like a road trip movie set in Xena’s world. Xena and Gabrielle are accustomed to life on the road and all that comes with it, whereas Discord pouts and complains while almost getting hurt over and over. This leads to a few funny moments, when they aren’t defending themselves from attacks.

Where things leave off should make for an entertaining story in the next issue.
