Firefly #7 was another packed issue for the crew of the Serenity. The crew is scattered, starting with Jayne getting taken into custody under the mistaken identity of Wash. The real Wash is going after Zoë with Book and Inara, so Kaylee took Inara’s shuttle to find Simon and River. Elsewhere, Mal and Boss Moon are still operating under a tense alliance to survive their even more hostile environment and Zoë is hunting for them with a band of Browncoats.

This Firefly series is definitely not boring! Greg Pak is writing an action heavy story that has everyone urgently heading in different directions, trying to save each other and regroup. The action is quite exciting, and it isn’t skimping on story. Zoë, Mal, and Boss Moon have each been facing what they did during the war, which has brought out plenty of mixed emotions. Wash’s concern for his wife is an emotional anchor to the series and seeing Jayne get arrested is pretty funny, considering he’s the team’s jerk.

This arc has been very good and I’m already looking forward to the next issue.
