On her quest to find the Devil and get him to send her back to Earth, Elvira met Glenn, a mysterious man who offered to help her escape. Elvira’s odyssey through the levels of Hell continues as she encounters a minotaur, a traffic jam, bureaucracy, and other forms of torture.

This arc of Elvira continues to entertain through David Avallone’s writing and the art and colors by Dave Acosta and Ellie Wright, respectively. It’s an Elvira story, so there’s plenty of humor and wit, with some biting commentary and a dash of horror. The fact that Hell is populated not just by demons and expected torture, but also by awful aspects in everyday life is quite clever and amusing.

The creativity of the story and dialogue with the entertaining art that dips into the macabre but also elicits humor makes this a great comic.
